Something planted itself in me in 1977, watching Roots for the first time on network television. A white husband and wife, ordinary people, choosing a different kind of solidarity. I did not have language for what I was seeing, but I never stopped looking for it.
For years I researched quietly - reading, searching records, asking what percentage of white people actually supported Black people during the Antebellum South, in northern U.S. cities, across generations until today. About a year ago that private inquiry became something more public. I began to understand terms like white privilege, white supremacy, and Black-led community organizing - and to recognize that the conversations I wanted to create needed a container far more qualified than anything I could build alone. That container exists. I've found it.
The Heal Your Way Forward Collective, founded by Myisha T. Hill, centers liberation education at the intersection of neuroscience, mindfulness, and ancestral wisdom. It offers women+ an interactive online space for community support, big conversations, courses, recordings, and a call to action - all inside a Black-led framework built specifically for this work.
Founding membership runs $22/month and opens access to peer support, embodied practice, and a community collectively guiding one another toward individual and collective healing.
This is where I do my work.
I am inviting you to join me there.
